SYB '09 Thoughts & Experience

SUMMER YOUTH BLAST this year was rrrreally good! (: I don't even know where to start. HAH

friday [TRUST], we met up at PGA Studio. It was the first day. We broke into groups, came up with a team name and a cheer. My group was called, "TIE- T(+)" It's funny how we came up with it but sall about getting ourselves tied up to the cross(JESUS)(: My group was consist of, Mikee, Andrew, Jan, Andre, Joseph and Jerry(our counsellor.) It was a dope team. I had so much fun with them <3. We also had a guest speaker (Martin, 20 yrs old) Sigh awesome message about SSuper Trust and wanting to want/desire to seek and know God. Later on that night we had the TRUST WALK. OMG, it was soo cold and I didnt have a sweater. We were blind folded as we executed the literal experience to walk by faith and not by sight. Mega Sighhh... GOOOOD STUFF! The only part I was scared of was when they randomly tell us to jump because ya knoooww, me and heights! haha but dang overall, today was dope.

saturday, ladies woke up late and of course the gentlemen would already be at church. HAH (good job) so, today's theme/message was [SERVE.] We went to the Dream Center but this time we passed out fliers not food(Although, some of us did.)It was still a good experience at the same time good exercise haha. We walked a few blocks and went around the neighborhood, knocked on doors etc. IT WAS HOT!!!! but it was worth it(:
Then we went back to church for lunch, chilled(some slept) until time for HARVEST CRUSADE!! WOOOOT! Took off around 4p, got stuck in traffic so we were pretty much late haha but when we got there, OHHHH MANN.. Anaheim Stadium was super packed!! we could not find any seats at all so we ended up standing at the back part of the stadium and sat on the floor once in awhile. But its okay! RELIENT K, KATINAS & SKILLET were there! Ahhh it was sooo goood! and of course to top it off, the message blew us away by Greg Laurie (:
Later that evening, we ate at Mexican place called, MOLCA SALSA. Fellowshiped, Chilled and laughed & more laughs! LOL

Sunday [LIVE], Marielle and I woke up the latest!haha but still made it to the group meeting. Today was the last day of SYB and I was a little sad yet still anticipating. We had the church service of course and learned about, "BEING A STAR!!" No matter what and who you are, you are a star in the eyes of God(: Then, lunch with the Fcf Fam. At 2:30ish, SYB resumed. We finished up our banner and skit. Then everyone met up together last time, did P&W, did our group presentations and with our group, all i can say was (TY Lord, for the anointing! haha)watched a videoclip(which was Super crazy) encouraged by how at a young age, these kids were still soo willing despite of what they were going through. They experienced the "Literal" way of being persecuted. WOW.

Then, we shared our thoughts with our own respective group. After that, we connected more with God through singing and praying. Counselors prayed for us and it was awesome. Then, we had to read some life stories posted up on the hallway walls and mann it was crazy." I was definitely moved. (Props to Geraldine for the idea.) Then, we got our SYB T-shirt. It was dopeee! (Props to Kuya Paul for creativity.) On the shirt, we were asked to write our personal commitment to God. Writing it was a bit hard because I am accountable of what I wrote but it was definitely a moment with God. Then, we closed up with a prayer, took group pictures (too bad we weren't complete) and hung out some more. the end.

SYB 2009, is another event I will always hold close to my heart(: Thank you FCF Youth Ministry for the good refreshing times. Tie-T, you were a dope team! and of course to our dearest, hardworking and anointed one ate belle, who put ALLL these together. Man, MUCH LOVE and BLESSINGS <3

WOOOOOOT!(:
